How to Help Clients Modernize Skills Without a Full Credential

When a client's education section is thin, or their target field has moved, a current course is one of the fastest ways to add keywords and show they are still learning.

Class Central is a practical directory of courses, credentials, and degree programs. Many are free to enroll in, and most can be audited at no cost. Used well, a course can bulk up a meager education section, professionalize an interest, and put posting language onto the resume.

Do not assign a six-month certificate as the first move. Pick something short that matches the target role, start it, and put it on the resume as in progress if they have actually begun.
